Established 1924

General Information:

The Grenada Football Association is a private organization, incorporated pursuant to the Companies Act 1994 of Grenada, Act No.35 of 1994. The head office is located at the National Cricket Stadium, Queen’s Park, St.George’s. The GFA is a member of FIFA, CONCACAF and the Caribbean Football Union CFU. The Association is obliged to follow the follow the statutes, regulations and instructions of the regional and international football bodies.


Vision Statement

To provide a platform for the development of world class footballers, coaches and administrators through increased training opportunities from the grassroots onwards involving all stakeholders.


Mission Statement:

To build a solid and credible administrative unit that will ensure the growth and development of football in Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique that is responsive to the needs and aspirations of all of its members, by ensuring credible and decisive leadership is supported by a vibrant and effective team of professionals.

 Objectives:

  1. Develop, promote, control and regulate the sport of Association football in all its forms throughout Grenada.
  2. Organize competitions in Association football in all its forms at the national level.
  3. Control and supervise all friendly matches of all forms.
  4. To respect and prevent any infringement of the statutes, regulations, directives and decisions of FIFA, CONCACAF, CFU and the GFA as well as the laws of the game.
  5. To manage international sporting relations connected with association football in all its forms.
  6. To protect the joint interests of GFA members.
  7. To actively encourage, develop and build club structure in Grenada.
  8. To develop new regulations and provisions.
  9. To prevent all methods or practices which may jeopardize the integrity of matches or competitions.

New GFA Format- The GFA Executive and General Council have agreed to the following:

  1. The Premier League remains as the GFA Flagship tournament.
  2. The GFA is seeking to make its Premier League 14 teams by 2018
  3. All teams participating shall form part of one of the four conferences ( North Western, Eastern, Southern, Central)
  4. The Premier League teams are assigned conferences should they be demoted, they will know to which conference they are demoted
  5. All other teams not playing in the Premier League shall play in one of four conferences.
  6. The top two teams from each conference shall qualify for the National Conference Big 8 and the top two teams from this tournament qualifies for promotion to the Premier League.
  7. Each Premier League team must have a youth team by 2018. No team will be allowed to participate in the Premier League by 2018 if it does not meet the respective requirements.
  8. By 2019 onwards, each Premier League team must have a U17 and U15 team.
  9. 2020 each Premier League team must have a U17, U15 and U13 team.
  10. 2021 all Premier League team must have a U17, U15, U13 and U10 team.
