After a captivating weekend of football in the Sandals Grenada Football Association (GFA) National Under 15 Tournament, the stage is set for the semifinal clashes.
In an exhilarating face-off at Victoria Park, SAFL secured a 2-1 victory over Sab Spartans, earning their advancement. The second match witnessed Hard Rock and GBSS FC battling to a 1-1 draw, with GBSS FC prevailing 4-2 in penalty kicks to secure their spot. Meanwhile, at Cuthbert Peters Park, St John’s Sports delivered a 3-0 shutout against Paradise FC International, and Eagles Superstrikers and RGPF Saint Forces played to a draw before Eagles triumphed 6-5 in penalties.
Anticipation is building for the upcoming semifinals, promising more nail-biting action as they kick off at Morne Rouge this Saturday.
GFA President Marlon Glean expressed, “This tournament has showcased some of the best young talent in the country. We’re excited to witness these future stars compete for a place in the final.”
The first semifinal will feature SAFL against GBSS FC at 1 pm, while the second matchup will see St John’s Sports facing off against Eagles Superstrikers at 3 pm. As these young athletes vie for a spot in the championship, fans can expect a high level of competition.
