The semifinal matchups are now set following an exciting weekend of football in the Sandals Grenada Football Association (GFA) National Under 15 Tournament.
In a gripping encounter at Victoria Park, SAFL narrowly defeated Sab Spartans 2-1 to secure their advancement. Meanwhile, Hard Rock and GBSS FC battled to a 1-1 stalemate in regulation time, with GBSS FC emerging victorious 4-2 on penalty kicks. Over at Cuthbert Peters Park, St John’s Sports dominated Paradise FC International with a commanding 3-0 victory, while Eagles Superstrikers and RGPF Saint Forces played to a draw before Eagles clinched a 6-5 win in penalties.
As the semifinals loom, anticipation builds for more thrilling action set to unfold at Morne Rouge this Saturday.
GFA President Marlon Glean remarked, “This tournament has been a showcase of some of the finest young talent in the country. We eagerly await seeing these budding stars vie for a spot in the final.”
The first semifinal will witness SAFL facing off against GBSS FC at 1 pm, followed by an exciting clash between St John’s Sports and Eagles Superstrikers at 3 pm. With a place in the championship up for grabs, spectators can anticipate an intense display of competition from these emerging athletes.
