The National Grassroots Programme officially commenced on Saturday, opening several centers across Grenada. This launch signifies a significant achievement in the Grenada Football Association’s (GFA) dedication to making football accessible throughout the tri-island state.
These community-focused centers, established in areas that lacked resources, aim to provide training and development opportunities for young players. The newly opened centers are located in St Patrick, St Mark, St John, St Andrew, St David, and St George.
Designed for boys and girls aged 6-15, the National Grassroots Programme utilizes football to promote education, health, and social development. The program ensures that players receive high-quality coaching, access to equipment, and facilities to unlock their potential both on and off the field.
The launch on Saturday marks the beginning of an exciting new era for football development in Grenada. With more players gaining access to the sport, the future looks promising for the next generation of Grenada’s football talent. Additional centers are scheduled to open this coming Saturday.
