Grenada’s FIFA Referee, Reon Radix, has been appointed to participate in the Concacaf Referee Academy, taking place in Dallas, Texas, from April 9 to 17, 2022.
The Concacaf Referee Academy at Dallas Cup 2022 is a highly competitive international soccer tournament featuring seven age groups, ranging from U-13 to U-19. Concacaf Referees, including Radix, are officiating matches in the Super Group U19, along with other age groups. The academy incorporates technical seminars and fitness sessions, with referee assessors evaluating match officials’ performances and providing feedback.
Allan James, First Vice President of the Grenada Football Association (GFA) and Chairman of the Referees Committee, emphasized the prestige of the academy for referees. He noted that it offers referees valuable on-field experience and technical assessment to enhance their skills.
Reon Radix, a FIFA Referee for the fourth consecutive year, expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “I am appreciative of this golden opportunity. I am passionate about being a match official, therefore I will use every opportunity to learn and improve my skills.” Radix had previously represented Grenada at the Concacaf Referee Academy in 2018.
