Following a Club Administration Workshop in January, the GFA is set to host a Club Management Workshop on May 13 and 14 at Royalton Grenada.
Concacaf officials, seasoned in team and competition management, will lead the workshop, focusing on crucial areas for football team success. Topics include Leadership vs Management, Roles and Responsibilities of a Team Manager, Competition Management, Game Day Management, and Inspection of a Stadium and Hotel. GFA General Secretary Carl Lee emphasized the association’s commitment to providing stakeholders with training that enhances club management quality, ultimately improving outcomes and Grenada’s football overall.
The Grenada U17 Women’s National Team intensified their preparations for the upcoming competition in August with a successful weekend camp. The team, led by Head Coach Rockel Hood, participated in fitness and tactical sessions while camped at the GFA Secretariat 3rd floor and utilized the Queen’s Park ground. During the camp, they secured a 2-0 victory against the Queen’s Park Rangers Women’s Team in a friendly match, with goals from Abigail Williams and Joshenie Fortune. Coach Hood expressed satisfaction, noting that the camp aimed to unite the players while focusing on defensive strategies, and the win reflected the girls’ growing confidence and grasp of the training.
